The Friends of the Library is the fiscal agent for the Imagination Library here in Eldora.

Since 2007 the Friends has been the fiscal agent for Dolly Parton's Imagination Library here in Eldora.    As the 501(c)(3) fiscal agent, the Friends write the checks, but the actual funds come from the community.  Support comes from the United Fund, service clubs, businesses, the Imagination Library Bridge Group, and individuals.

The Imagination Library sends a free book in the mail once a month to children from birth through age 4 in the 50627 ZIP code area.  Income is not a factor.  All children may participate.  The idea of the program is to encourage parents to read more to their children to get them ready for school and success in life.

As of January 31, 2016, there were 97 children signed up for the program.  Thanks goes to the Dollywood Foundation for picking up a large share of the cost for this program.  The cost for the community of Eldora to participate at this time is about $2,500 a year.

If you would like to make a donation to the Imagination Library you may make out a check to Imagination Library and send it to:
