Friends of the Library
How Do I Give to the Eldora Public Library Endowment Fund? (Distributions from the fund go to the Friends.)
Just make out a check to the Eldora Public Library Endowment Fund and send it to the Eldora Public Library at 1202 10th St., Eldora, IA 50627. In the fall of 2012 the Eldora Public Library Endowment Fund was established through the Hardin County Community Endowment Foundation, an affiliate of the Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines. At our local level it was set up through the Friends of the Eldora Public Library. Donations to the endowment may be of any amount and are fully deductible to the extent permitted by federal law. They may be in the form of cash, grain, gifts of securities, or in selected cases, other gifts of value. Donors will also receive a 25% Endow Iowa Tax Credit, in addition to their Federal Tax deductions, for all gifts to the permanent endowment. The balance of the fund at the end of 2013 was $28,166.69 so the fund is off to a good start. Thanks go to the generous contributors. For additional information on giving to the Eldora Public Library Endowment, please contact the Library at 641-939-2173. Distributions from the fund go to the Friends of the Eldora Public Library for their work in helping the library.
