Greenbelt Representative will present a workshop on health tips.

Friends of the Library and the Methodist Women made possible a large order of children’s books. Many are from a science book list.

Dan provided an update on the Special Library Trust Fund. Payments are received quarterly with the last payment being $393.21 which calculates to $1573 annually.

The Budget Committee met and discussed how to address the reduced budget allotment for the library. Dean and Jerry recommended reductions in the following budget items: dues & membership, education, travel, and
utilities. Board approved the recommendation.

Salary ranges for library staff were compiled by Dan for the accreditation requirements.

Dan discussed applying for a matching funds grant to help cover the cost of 6 e-readers to be available for check-out. By providing e-readers the library helps patrons get more familiar with technology, allows an
affordable way to offer books in large print. The library would contribute $1000 and a matching $1000 would come from the endowment. Board approved moving ahead on the grant proposal and approved the purchase of
6 Kindle devices.
