PRESENT: Dean Stickrod, Kristin Gehrke, Jan Dunn, Mary Swartz, Jerry Trittien, Jill Stanish, Dan
MINUTES approved. BILLS approved with the exception of the locksmith bill. Dan will talk to Karl
about getting the correct door handle installed.
Budget for $148, 512 was approved for the library. This represents a 6% increase from last year. Ian
would like to further discuss a library levy. Discussion was tabled until next month.
Discussed heating issues. McDonald from New Providence has not yet stopped by. Dan will put together
a report on maintenance costs for service calls and Dean will talk to Jim Brown to see if there might be a
more economical option to pursue.
Discussed security cameras. Dan indicated that cameras plus outlet wiring for them will amount to less
than $500. Ben Speck indicated that it would be about $100 per outlet installed. The Board moved to
purchase cameras and pay for installation using Open Access funds.
Discussed Zinio, a web-based magazine subscription service. Dan said many larger libraries offer this
service. The platform fee would be $500. Board will discuss more at a future meeting.
Library received the HCCEF grant of $500 for an art cart and puppets. The award ceremony will be
Tuesday, April 9. Board members received invitations to attend. Still waiting to hear about the Dollar
General grant.
Discussed lawn car. Board decided to continue with current provider and Dan will ask for an estimate on
seeding some of the bare patches.
The stained glass presentation had to be rescheduled due to inclement weather.
